Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or nursing program equivalence is required.
• State-licensed or certified healthcare professionals are required (EMT/RN/LPN etc.).
• CPR and AED certification must be current per state requirements.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist must be completed.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history, and exam review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs and physician standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and assist investigations.
