Octapharma Plasma, Inc. is seeking a Donor Center Medical Professional in Michigan to evaluate donor eligibility for automated plasmapheresis, administer immunizations as per SOPs, and provide limited emergency care as licensed.

The role requires understanding SOPs, cGMP, and regulatory guidelines with strong collaboration across center teams. The position involves reviewing donor records in NexLynk, handling adverse reactions under supervision, and training as a Donor Center Technician I.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized healthcare-related program (Physician, LPN, or RN).
• Certification or license as EMT Basic/Intermediate/Advanced (Paramedic) if allowed.
• 1 year of experience in hospital, field care, or plasma center settings preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• State-issued authorization or license to perform moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor eligibility through medical history reviews, physical assessments, and informed consent discussions in line with SOPs, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP.
• Review, document, and verify donor information, immunization records, and test results in the donor management system NexLynk.
• Classify donors into programs and monitor for adverse reactions, providing care as trained and licensed.
• Consult with center Licensed Physician regarding abnormal results, donor eligibility concerns, and immunization orders.
• Counsel deferred donors, ensure confidentiality, and refer to health departments as needed.
• Maintain documentation such as Physician Communication Logs and donor eligibility assessments.
• Train as a Donor Center Technician I and serve as a QA Backup when needed.
• Mentor and train new Medical Professionals as a Designated Trainer.
• Support center compliance with SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate to maintain an efficient, donor-focused environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
