Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks an EMT I to perform basic emergency medical care and patient transport within the EMS department. You will work under the supervision of a Paramedic or clinical leader, maintaining equipment, documenting patient information, and promoting safety and communication.

The role requires completion of a state-approved EMT program, with preference for EMT Advanced training and prior hospital or EMS experience. A strong focus on PPE and infection control is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a state-approved EMT training program.
• EMT Advanced course preferred.
• Hosp/ED or ambulance/transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic emergency medical care and transport.
• Assist with patient assessment and vital signs under supervision.
• Administer first aid and support CPR and bleeding control as assigned.
• Safely operate emergency vehicles.
