Job summary

UCHealth Yampa Valley Med Center in Steamboat Springs, CO, seeks an EMT for the ER. The role provides emergent/urgent patient care under physicians and nurses, with day and evening rotation. On-site, PRN schedule, no remote option.

You will perform IV access, specimen collection, wound care, ECGs, and assist with procedures, aiming for rapid, high-quality patient care. HS diploma/ GED required; EMT licensure with IV cert or EMT-I; BLS through AHA/Red Cross; CPI within 1 year.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Current EMT licensure with IV certification or EMT-I.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Establish IV access, collect specimens, provide wound care, and transport patients.
• Assist with exams, minor procedures, and resuscitation as directed.
• Report abnormal findings to medical staff promptly.
• Maintain patient flow and keep rooms clean and stocked.
• Work in fast-paced environment with critical thinking and minimal supervision.
