Job summary

UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center in Estes Park, Colorado is hiring for an Emergency Medical Service Technician in the EVMC Emergency Medical Service department. This part-time, 48 hours per pay period, flex shift role is on-site with no hybrid option.

You will respond to EMS calls, provide patient care per scope of practice, and support stabilization from the scene through transport to the receiving facility.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• National certification (as determined at position level).
• BLS Healthcare Provider required.
• Current State EMT licensure required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• National Registry EMT within 1 year of hire.
• IV course completion required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and drive ambulance to scenes and treatment centers; stabilize scene and request additional aid as needed.
• Assess illness/injury; provide emergency care, stabilization, monitoring, and resuscitation from scene to hospital.
• Report observations to medical personnel and follow directives from supervising clinician.
• Maintain and restock equipment; clean ambulance as required.
• Work in a fast-paced setting with critical thinking and limited supervision.
