Position Overview

The primary goal of EMS is to provide safe and compassionate ambulance and medical transportation, respecting patient dignity and ensuring community safety. Responsibilities include non-emergency patient transfers, community event standby, and emergency response for critically ill and injured patients, within the scope of your training and authorization.

Essential Job Functions

• Attend orientation and training sessions; maintain EMS certification.
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport following protocols and medical directives.
• Lift and carry patients and equipment safely, adhering to weight and height guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and other agencies.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly.
• Inspect and maintain EMS equipment and vehicles.
• Respond to emergency calls and assist in various emergency situations.
• Perform station and vehicle maintenance, and participate in community events and disaster response.
• Ensure personal well-being and professionalism at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of required training and certifications, including EMT and CPR.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Pass background checks and drug screening.
• Proof of vaccinations (TB, Hepatitis).
