Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (some agencies may require additional education).
• Proficient in using computer-aided dispatch systems and other communication tools like VoiceFriend.
• Strong multitasking abilities and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight.
• Clean criminal background and drug screening
• Physical fitness and the ability to sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Call Management: Receive emergency calls and gather essential information.
• Dispatch Coordination: Use dispatch systems to assign staff to calls and priority actions.
• Coordinate multiple calls simultaneously and prioritize emergencies.
• Communication: Relay critical information to EMTs and keep responders updated.
• Resource Management: Maintain accurate records of calls and outcomes.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other emergency services during major incidents.
