Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking an EMT Dispatcher to coordinate and dispatch first responders for emergency calls, ensuring rapid, safe medical assistance. You will manage communications, prioritize resources, and provide compassionate guidance while maintaining meticulous documentation.

The role supports a 162-acre campus with 800+ residents and patients, requiring calm under pressure and strong teamwork in a faith-based community. On-site shifts include day and swing hours with potential overtime.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in using computer-aided dispatch systems and other communication tools like VoiceFriend.
• Strong multitasking abilities and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight.
• Clean criminal background and drug screening.
• Physical fitness and the ability to sit for extended periods.

Responsabilidades

• Emergency Call Management: Receive emergency calls and determine nature/severity to prioritize responses.
• Dispatch Coordination: Use multiple systems to assign staff and optimize response times.
• Communication: Relay critical information to EMTs and first responders and provide guidance until EMS arrives.
• Resource Management: Maintain records and coordinate with other agencies during major incidents.
• Decision-making: Deploy resources quickly based on urgency and available data.
• Customer Service: Demonstrate empathy and professionalism to distressed callers.
• Training and Compliance: Stay up-to-date with protocols and READ FILE guidelines.
• Problem Solving: Adapt to changing situations during emergencies.
