Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a dedicated dispatcher for Metro Life Flight operations in Cleveland. You will manage start-to-finish call handling, coordinate air and ground patient movements, and act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders during emergencies.

This role requires EMT certification, a valid Ohio driver’s license, BLS, map-reading ability, CAD and flight operations software experience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Ohio EMT certification and BLS (AHA) required.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurability eligibility.
• Proficient in CAD and flight operation software; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate start-to-finish call handling for EMS and partners.
• Dispatch and monitor aircraft and critical care ground units.
• Serve as primary contact with internal/external stakeholders during calls.
• Ensure rapid access to burn, cardiac, neurology, pediatric, and trauma services.
• Maintain calm, professional communication in high-stress situations.
