Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an Medical Support Specialist in Mount Juliet, TN, to apply EMT and clinical skills in donor safety and plasma collection operations. The role reports to the Center Manager and collaborates with Center Physician for medical issues in a regulated setting.

The position emphasizes donor eligibility assessment, adverse event management, and coordination with Medical Affairs, with benefits and growth opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state requirements.
• Current EMT licensure (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or nursing license (LPN/LVN, RN).
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and examination, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs and standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for significant findings or guidance on medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and liaise with occupational health/EHS.
