Job summary

Qualifications

• EMT-Basic Certification and current BLS CPR certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Criminal background check and motor vehicle record must be clean for employment.
• Post-employment requirements include annual physicals and NIMS education within 60 days of start.
• EMS reciprocity with Indiana and/or Kentucky may be required for operational assignments.

Responsibilities

• Satisfactorily perform all skills and procedures as designated by the EMS Commission curriculum.
• Respond to EMS calls and provide emergency medical care and transportation as required.
• Follow First-Care policies and procedures, maintain patient confidentiality, and uphold the Code of Conduct.
• Maintain equipment operability and complete required documentation before leaving shift.
• Participate in ongoing in-service education and safety practices as prescribed by policy.
