Job summary

Trans-Care Ambulance is seeking an EMT-Basic to provide emergency medical care and transportation within Indiana and/or Kentucky. Duties include responding to EMS calls, assisting higher-certified techs, and transporting patients as needed.

Requirements include a valid state driver’s license, EMT-Basic certification (Indiana and/or Kentucky), current CPR, and successful background and MVR checks. Adherence to company policies and patient confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Indiana EMT-Basic Certification and/or Kentucky EMT-Basic Certification.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Pass Criminal Background Check.
• Pass BMV Motor Vehicle Report.

Responsibilities

• The EMT will satisfactorily perform all skills and procedures as designed by the Indiana EMS Commission curriculum.
• The EMT will practice skills within the Indiana scope of practice and follow Standard of Care and physician orders.
• The EMT will respond to EMS calls as assigned by the communications center.
• The EMT will follow Trans-Care policies and treat all customers, patients, and staff with honesty and respect.
• The EMT will protect patient confidentiality per Trans-Care privacy policies.
