Job summary

First-Care seeks an EMT-Basic to provide emergency medical care and transportation as part of the EMS team. You will assist higher-certified staff and operate within the scope of practice while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Pre-employment requirements include a valid driver’s license, EMT-Basic and BLS CPR certifications, and a background check. Post-employment training and reciprocal certification processes may be required for Indiana/Kentucky.

Qualifications

• EMT-Basic certification required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Background check and driving record review required.
• NIMS-required education within 60 days of start.
• Ambulance Operations Training and Stretcher/Stair Chair Training required.
• EMS reciprocity with Indiana and/or Kentucky if needed for operation.

Responsibilities

• The EMT will provide emergency medical care and transportation as part of the EMS team.
• Assist higher certified technicians and paramedics in patient treatment.
• Perform duties within the scope of practice and comply with policies and confidentiality.
