Job summary

Trans-Care Ambulance in Indiana seeks an EMT-Basic to deliver emergency medical care and transportation within the EMS system. The EMT-Basic assists higher certified technicians, including paramedics, and supports non-emergency patient transport as needed.

Candidates must hold an Indiana EMT-Basic certification, a valid IN driver’s license, current CPR, pass the state's criminal background check and the Indiana BMV motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

• The EMT will satisfactorily perform all skills and procedures as designed by the Indiana EMS Commission curriculum.
• While on duty, the EMT will practice his or her skills and fulfill duties within the Indiana scope of practice and the Standard of Care.
• The EMT will respond to EMS calls as assigned by the communications center observing Trans-Care policies on out-of-chute and end-of-shift time.
• The EMT will follow all Trans-Care policies and treat customers, patients, fellow employees and vendors with honesty and respect.
• The EMT will maintain patient confidentiality per Trans-Care privacy policies.
