Job summary

Global Medical Response (GMR) is hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for full-time, on-site work in Leesville, LA. The role requires EMT certification, CPR/BLS, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED.

You’ll respond to emergencies and non-emergencies, assess patients, and deliver high-quality care with professional patient service. Responsibilities include documenting patient data, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• State Driver’s License required.
• National or State EMT certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• EMTs provide patient assessment and determine needed care and deliver emergency services using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills to provide care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with safety policies and traffic laws.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to support AMR image and relations.
