Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is hiring a Medical Support Specialist to assess donor eligibility, review lab results, and support plasma center operations. You will work under the Center Manager for operational guidance and under the Center Physician for medical issues. The role requires EMT or nursing licensure, CPR/AED, and prior clinical experience, with a focus on donor safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; EMT licensure (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or RN/LPN license.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
• Fulfill FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, screening, and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS for investigations.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist with related investigations.
