Job summary

The Emergency Medical Technician at Central EMS provides patient care in both emergency and non-emergency settings, adhering to Georgia EMS rules and regulations. He/she checks and maintains ambulance equipment to ensure it is clean and functional, and keeps licenses and certifications current, with a mandatory training plan and a six-month probationary period.

There is a possibility of employer-sponsored paramedic training to advance credentials.

Qualifications

• EMT qualifications per Georgia rules and company protocols.
• Ability to read maps and interpret locations for EMS calls.
• Capability to complete reports (PCR, billing, incidents) accurately.
• Maintain required licenses and certifications; attend mandatory training.
• Comply with ongoing company policies and medical director protocols.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all EMS calls from the Central Dispatch center.
• Provide care per company policy and medical director protocols.
• Maintain and clean ambulance equipment daily and report issues.
• Complete PCRs, billing, incident and exposure reports as required.
• Ensure readiness and professionalism while on duty.
