Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking an EMS Transportation Coordinator to manage patient transport requests for Johns Hopkins Hospital and affiliates. This full-time, 36-hour weekly role coordinates ambulances and staff, triages needs, and ensures safe, timely transfers.

Responsibilities include intake, resource allocation, emergency coordination, and collaboration with clinical teams. EMT certification and HS diploma required; Maryland EMT-Basic at hire; NREMT-Basic preferred or within 90 days;

Qualifications

• EMT certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Maryland EMT-Basic certification required at hire; NREMT-Basic preferred or obtained within 90 days.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Unrestricted driver's license and maintenance of ambulance vendor requirements.
• Minimum two years of ambulance service experience.
• Two+ years as ambulance/medical dispatcher preferred.

Responsabilités

• Intake and triage of patient transport requests and determine appropriate level of care and transport mode.
• Allocate clinical resources such as ambulances and medical personnel based on demand and availability.
• Coordinate emergency response and notify teams to ensure timely action.
• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, healthcare providers, and transportation services.
• Document patient information and transport details in electronic medical records.
