Job summary

County of Bucks in Doylestown, PA is seeking an Emergency Health Services Training & Recruitment Specialist to coordinate EMS training programs, schedule courses, and manage clinical experiences for trainees.

The role also involves recruiting EMS personnel at career fairs, supporting workforce development, and ensuring training equipment and materials are ready. It is an essential position with on-call rotation and potential evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current PA/National Registry EMT or higher in good standing.
• EMS Instructor certification preferred; valid driver’s license.
• Clearances: PA Child Abuse History, PA State Police, FBI checks current within 1 year.
• Experience: 5+ years as a prehospital provider; 3+ years instructing CPR/EMS courses.

Responsibilities

• Instruct CPR/First Aid, Stop the Bleed, EMS certification and continuing ed courses.
• Serve as Course Coordinator for Bucks County EMS Training Institute; schedule clinical experiences.
• Coordinate transport of training equipment; maintain inventory and equipment upkeep.
• Maintain EMS instructor records, hours, and payroll; manage student applications in National Registry.
• Develop recruitment programs; represent department at career fairs and public events.
