Job summary

City of Concord Fire Department is seeking a leader to oversee the department's EMS program and ensure compliant, effective service delivery. The role includes directing EMS training, maintaining records, and coordinating with state boards to maintain certifications and standards.

The incumbent will supervise personnel, manage departmental resources, and participate in policy development to improve EMS outcomes and safety across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Fire Science, Public Administration, Emergency Medicine, or Management, and five years EMS/fire experience.
• Certifications include New Hampshire Firefighter II, HazMat - Operations, and Paramedic.
• Valid New Hampshire Driver's License; other listed certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight for the department EMS program.
• Directs, trains, and evaluates EMS and related training programs.
• Maintains EMS training records and ensures certifications are current.
• Acts as liaison with NH Fire Standards and Training and other boards.
• Supervises department personnel and coordinates resources for safe, economical operations.
• Responds to emergencies and analyzes policies and procedures to improve operations.
