The incumbent will supervise personnel, manage departmental resources, and participate in policy development to improve EMS outcomes and safety across operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Fire Science, Public Administration, Emergency Medicine, or Management, and five years EMS/fire experience.
  • Certifications include New Hampshire Firefighter II, HazMat - Operations, and Paramedic.
  • Valid New Hampshire Driver's License; other listed certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provides oversight for the department EMS program.
  • Directs, trains, and evaluates EMS and related training programs.
  • Maintains EMS training records and ensures certifications are current.
  • Acts as liaison with NH Fire Standards and Training and other boards.
  • Supervises department personnel and coordinates resources for safe, economical operations.
  • Responds to emergencies and analyzes policies and procedures to improve operations.
