Job summary

Clark County Fire Department is seeking an EMS Training Instructor to prepare, deliver, and evaluate training on EMS and fire service topics. Candidates must hold Paramedic cert and EMS Instructor I+ and meet licensure requirements, with the ability to obtain higher EMS Instructor and BLS/ACLS/PALS within a year.

The role requires a degree or 60 credits in a related field, plus training experience, and U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 60 college credits in a related field plus 1 year of training/instruction experience.
• Alternative: 3 years continuous full-time experience at Clark County Fire Department.
• Paramedic certification and EMS Instructor I or higher; must obtain Instructor II and BLS/ACLS/PALS within 1 year.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.
• United States work authorization; no H1B sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, designs and delivers specialized training programs in EMS and fire operations.
• Assists in scheduling training classes and sessions.
• Coordinates EMS training with instructors and department personnel.
• Obtains equipment, space and resources to conduct training.
• Produces instructional aids and documentation and updates materials.

Education

Associate's degree / 60 college credits in Fire Science, Criminal Justice, Management, Education, or related field
