Job summary

LUMA Energy is seeking an EMS/SCADA professional to support configuration, maintenance, and daily operation of EMS/SCADA applications, ensuring accurate telemetry and reliable grid performance.

You will configure interfaces, update points/diagrams, prepare pre-commissioning environments, and coordinate with NOC/NSG to resolve anomalies, contributing to safe, efficient grid operations and informed decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in SCADA/PLC environments or similar functional role.
• Experience with configuration of RTU’s or PLC’s is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of SCADA, FEP, ICCP, RTUs, HMI, PLCs and protocols like DNP3/Modbus.

Responsibilities

• Configures and maintains EMS/SCADA interfaces for accurate telemetry.
• Updates SCADA points and one-line diagrams for real-time visualization.
• Prepares environments for device pre-commissioning to ensure readiness and correct parameter assignment.
• Reports and coordinates system anomalies with NOC/NSG to resolve issues quickly.
• Supports Operations Centers daily to optimize EMS applications and modules for improved efficiency.
• Produces EMS-related reports for authorized business units to enable informed decision-making.
• Performs backups, patching, troubleshooting, and recovery activities to maintain EMS integrity.
• Documents updates, procedures, and configurations for accurate records and knowledge sharing.
• Follows company policies and compliance with laws and industry standards.
• Participates in storm restoration tasks and drills for reliable recovery of services.
• Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations.
