City of Fairfield seeks a dedicated EMS Coordinator to oversee and improve emergency medical services across the community, coordinating with the fire department, regional EMS agencies, and local healthcare providers. The role requires strong EMS administration, quality assurance, and staff training capabilities.

The position is governed by the Solano County Exclusive Operating Area contract for Emergency Ambulance Transport Services, with an initial five-year term.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years full-time experience delivering prehospital advanced life support or EMS as RN or paramedic
• Experience with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs
• Desirable: bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, nursing, or related field

Responsabilités

• Manage and coordinate the Peer Review/CQI program.
• Review Patient Care Reports for CQI compliance and quality of care.
• Coordinate EMS training and continuing education with Training Division.
• Serve as liaison to partner fire and EMS agencies regarding service delivery.
• Ensure certifications, licenses, and accreditations are maintained.
• Assist in developing policies and procedures for EMS operations.
• Prepare presentations and reports for department leadership.
