Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Administration, or related field.
Three (3) years of emergency medical services experience.
Master's degree may substitute for one year of EMS experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, coordinate, direct, manage, supervise, and monitor the EMS system to ensure compliance with codes and contracts.
Coordinate and manage EMS program activities, including quality assurance and program meetings.
Provide daily direction to external EMS personnel and agencies.
Prepare and manage service contracts and monitor compliance and finances.
Analyze program data and prepare required reports.
Develop and maintain program goals, policies, and procedures.
Monitor performance of EMS providers and equipment; ensure medical appropriateness of care.
Provide staff supervision and technical support for EMS activities.
Identify and pursue funding sources; administer grants with compliance.
Coordinate activities with hospitals, providers, and community organizations.
