Job summary

Macomb Community College seeks an experienced faculty member to deliver high-quality EMS education across campus and online modalities. You will design, update, and assess courses, maintaining currency with evidence-based practices and engaging with students through timely feedback and office hours.

The role includes coordinating EMS clinical experiences, mentoring adjunct faculty, and collaborating with program leadership to meet accreditation standards and improve learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required and documented.
• A current EMT-Paramedic license in Michigan with at least five years of status.
• Current Michigan EMS Instructor/Coordinator license required.
• Transcripts must be attached; official copies upon interview.
• Experience in academic or EMS program settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach subject matter and develop course materials.
• Update and refine curricula to reflect evidence-based practices.
• Maintain LMS materials and meet grading deadlines.
• Mentor adjunct faculty and participate in department meetings.
• Coordinate and oversee EMS clinical/field internship experiences.
• Support accreditation standards and program assessment.
