Job summary

Columbia State Community College in Columbia, TN, seeks a full-time faculty member to deliver instruction in EMS-related disciplines across online, in-person, and blended formats. The role includes academic advising and supporting student success, with use of technology to engage learners.

Faculty serving as department coordinators provide leadership, oversee part-time faculty, and help schedule offerings across all college locations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree minimum; Bachelor’s in EMS or related field preferred.
• Tennessee Paramedic license (or eligible) without history of revocation, denial or suspension of licensure.
• Paramedic Instructor/Coordinator endorsement (or eligible).
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (or equivalent).
• Minimum two (2) years (full-time equivalent) work experience in the pre-hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in multiple formats (in-person, online, hybrid, live streaming, or clinical).
• Provide academic advising to students and support retention and success.
• Engage in curriculum and program development, revision and evaluation.
• Assist in coordination, scheduling, and supervision of department course offerings and faculty.
