Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) invites applications for an Instructional Specialist I in EMS (EMR/EMT/Paramedic). The role combines classroom instruction, simulation, online education, and clinical coordination to support credit and non-credit EMS programs on the Arnold/Main Campus.

You will develop curricula, manage learning outcomes, track attendance and grades, and liaise with clinical sites to ensure compliance with MIEMSS, CoAEMSP, and CAAHEP requirements.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (minimum).
  • Current Paramedic certification (NREMT).
  • 3 years EMS experience.
  • 2+ years teaching adults in allied health.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible 40-hour weekly schedule including some evenings/weekends.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Instructional support: Develops EMS curriculum and instructs at all levels; mentors and tutors students; coordinates clinical education.
  • Program and Administrative Support: Performs daily admin duties for noncredit, credit, and contract training; supports learning outcomes and simulation.
  • Accreditation Support: Supports MIEMSS, CoAEMSP, and CAAHEP accreditation requirements.
