Job summary

Sandhills Community College seeks a WCE Director for Emergency Medical Services to lead EMS program operations and strategic initiatives across Moore and Hoke Counties. The role oversees EMT, Paramedic, continuing education, and agency-based training within the WCE framework.

The director will manage budgeting, staffing, curriculum development, and compliance, coordinating with Public Safety and Curriculum EMS personnel to align offerings with labor market needs and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent credential.
• Experience in strategic planning, program administration, workforce development, education, training, compliance or related field.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects, programs, instructors, schedules, records and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and college systems for registration, reporting, contracts, budgets and records.
• EMS-related credentials and licensure; EMT Paramedic Instructor within 1 year; flexible schedule including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for WCE EMS programs across Moore and Hoke Counties.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, and evaluate EMS instructors and staff.
• Develop, revise, and improve EMS curriculum, syllabi, assessments, and learning resources.
• Coordinate EMS instructional delivery across classroom, lab, simulation, field, clinical, online and partner sites.
• Ensure compliance with EMS regulatory requirements, accreditation, and program reporting.
• Build partnerships with EMS agencies, fire/rescue, healthcare providers, and community partners.
