Job summary

Tidewater Community College seeks an EMS Program Coordinator to provide leadership for EMS programs across Hampton Roads, based at the Virginia Beach Campus and working with partners at multiple locations. Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the EMS curricula, instructional practices, and learning outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to develop courses and curricula in response to identified needs.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate development and scheduling of programs based on input from advisory boards, planning data, and workforce goals.
• Proven ability to supervise and evaluate staff while building an effective team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply college policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct the analysis of learning, career, and skills needs and determine appropriate courses of study.
• Develop and manage curricula, courses, syllabi, and resources.
• Evaluate programs for currency, relevancy, and effectiveness.
• Provide leadership for EMS standards and outcomes measurement.
• Supervise adjunct faculty and department staff under the Dean of Health Professions.
• Encourage faculty participation in professional development and external conferences.
• Assist in grant or sponsored program development from concept to proposal.
• Oversee academic delivery, scheduling, spaces, and workloads.
