The City of Safety Harbor seeks a capable Fire Department Manager to oversee shift operations, incident command, EMS delivery, training, and administrative duties. This role directs subordinate staff, ensures compliance with medical and fire protocols, and coordinates with the Medical Director and EMS stakeholders.

Responsibilities include supervising EMS personnel, QA/QI activities, budgeting support, and maintaining regulatory records.

Formación

• Associates of Science degree, or greater in fire science, or another related field from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of current active experience as a Company Officer with the City of Safety Harbor or another Fire Department.
• State of Florida Firefighter Minimum Standards Certification; State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic Certification; State of Florida Fire Officer II Certification, or the ability to obtain FO II within a timeframe.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Plans, directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of subordinate staff; schedules shift coverage and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Provides leadership and supervision of EMS operations to ensure high-quality patient care per protocols and regulations.
• Oversees QA/QI program, reviews patient care reports, and implements performance improvements.
• Responds to emergency incidents with incident command and coordination of personnel and resources.
• Assists with annual budget preparation and maintains documentation for regulatory compliance.
