Job summary

J T located in Seymour, CT seeks a Manufacturing Operations Manager for its Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) plant. You will oversee manufacturing, engineering, and technical operations in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume setting, driving SQDCP performance and customer satisfaction.

You will lead Tier 1–Tier 3 management, optimize SMT and PTH lines, deploy Lean tools, and collaborate with engineering on DFM/DFT for NPI ramps while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 8–10 years of EMS/PCBA ops leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SMT, PTH, box build, and functional test systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct, develop, and retain high-performing operational and technical teams.
• Mentor engineers and frontline supervisors to foster ownership.
• Lead capacity planning and ERP/MRP scheduling to balance lines.
• Drive Lean tools (VSM, 5S, Kaizen) and Tier 1–Tier 3 daily management.
• Lead NPI ramp with DFx focus and DFM/DFT alignment with engineering.
• Manage CapEx initiatives for SMT platforms and automation.
• Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100D, and ITAR.
