Job summary

J T in Seymour, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Technical Engineering Manager to lead Technical Engineering, documentation control, and SMT programming in a high‑mix EMS environment. You will ensure BOMs, Gerber data, CAD layouts, and SMT recipes are analyzed and released on schedule.

The role requires 5+ years in EMS/PCBA, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with FUJI NXT III, Infor ERP, and VBA automation in Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive engineering experience within electronics contract manufacturing (EMS), technical documentation, SMT programming, or manufacturing engineering.
• Demonstrated supervisory or technical team leadership experience.
• Deep experience operating within high-mix, low-to-medium volume PCBA production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Engineering, Document Control, and SMT Programming teams.
• Oversee BOMs, Gerber, CAD data validation, and ECOs.
• Coordinate data readiness and schedule adherence with multiple functions.
• Own SMT programming and ensure machine recipes are maintained.
• Drive continuous improvement and data automation using VBA/Excel.
