Job summary

Priority Patient Transport is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to run day-to-day HR for a multi-site EMS organization across the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia. The role covers recruiting, onboarding, credential tracking, benefits, and leave paperwork, reporting to the owner/VP of Operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience including recruiting and onboarding.
• Ambulance, EMS, EMT or healthcare experience preferred.
• Familiarity with I-9, FMLA, ADA and EEO basics.
• Experience tracking certifications and licenses against deadlines.
• Proficient with HRIS/ATS and MS Office.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between VA offices.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting and hiring EMTs, paramedics, wheelchair van operators, dispatchers and office staff.
• Schedule interviews with operations and move offers quickly.
• Build candidate pipeline through EMT/paramedic programs and career fairs.
• Keep applicant tracking workflow current and report open positions.
