Job summary

King County EMS Division seeks a strategic Financial Services Administrator to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial policy across the EMS Levy. The role focuses on equity-centered fiscal policy, data-driven insights, and cross‑department collaboration.

The individual will manage complex analyses, coordinate with KCIT, and ensure transparency in funding decisions while traveling regionally as needed. this is an on-site/hybrid position with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in business, public administration or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of budgeting techniques and principles for levy financials.
• Advanced knowledge of business analysis, design, and development with data structures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial lead for the EMS Levy, providing long‑term financial planning, forecasting, budget oversight, and economic modeling.
• Represent financial status for division and levy partners, including EMS Advisory Committee participation.
• Develop and oversee operating and capital budget allocations, evaluate proposals, and analyze financial impacts.
• Lead development, implementation, and interpretation of financial policies ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
• Review IT projects, coordinate with KCIT, and lead or coordinate EMS/KCIT meetings.
• Translate complex financial and policy information into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
