Public Health – Seattle and King County (PHSKC) seeks a Chief of Financial Strategy and Compliance to guide financial sustainability and strengthen finance infrastructure. This senior role reports to the CAO and leads a 30+ member team within the Office of Financial Management and Compliance.

With a $500M+ budget, the incumbent guides budget development, grants management, internal controls, and reporting across six divisions, ensuring equity and strong fiscal stewardship across the department.

Qualifikationen

• Commitment to Equity and Social Justice and pursuing changes to policies that address inequities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and at least seven years of experience in finance.
• Experience managing a finance team in a complex financial environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GASB, and federal/state grant accounting and reporting.
• Ability to build trusted partnerships through transparency and follow-through.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the department’s budget development and financial management to align with priorities and health equity.
• Ensure department-wide financial compliance and internal controls with funder requirements.
• Lead long-range financial planning and sustainability for all funds.
• Manage daily operations of Office of Financial Management and Compliance including accounting, payroll, grants, and reporting.
• Provide financial analyses and guidance to senior leadership to inform decisions.
