Northwest Ambulance is seeking a Controller to lead our accounting function in a fast-paced EMS environment. You will partner with executives and operations to deliver accurate reporting, forecasting, and insightful financial guidance.

This role emphasizes process improvement, controls, and modernizing reporting systems. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, operationally disciplined, and experienced with multi‑location healthcare operations, payroll platforms, and complex revenue cycles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience.
• Strong background in financial reporting, month-end close, and reconciliations.
• Experience with third‑party billing or revenue cycle.
• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or equivalent payroll platform.
• Knowledge of Washington State compliance: WA PFML, L&I, and cares fund.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close; produce audit-ready P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
• Oversee third‑party billing oversight; reconcile reports, monitor collections, adjustments, write-offs, and billing fees.
