Job summary

Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold/Main Campus is seeking an Instructional Specialist I for the EMS department to deliver education and develop EMS curricula including EMR, EMT, and Paramedic programs. Responsibilities include classroom, simulation, online teaching, coordinating clinical sites, maintaining records, and ensuring COAEMSP/MIEMSS compliance while supporting students and faculty.

Candidates should hold an Associate's degree, current Paramedic certification, and three years EMS

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Current Paramedic certification (NREMT).
• Three years of EMS experience.
• Two or more years of teaching experience with adults in an allied health field using classroom and clinical education techniques.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive environment and the ability to deal tactfully with internal and external constituents.
• Ability to work a flexible 40-hour weekly schedule including some evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of the department and AACC.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and curriculum development for EMR, EMT, and Paramedic programs.
• Deliver instruction via simulation, online and in-person formats; provide tutoring and mentoring.
• Coordinate clinical education, manage affiliations, and ensure compliance with COAEMSP/MIEMSS requirements.
