Job summary

Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin, IN is seeking an EMS Coordinator (Part Time) to develop and deliver EMS education programs for affiliates and the community. The role acts as a liaison to maintain affiliations, conduct audits, and ensure protocol updates in line with Indiana EMS regulations.

The coordinator will collaborate with the Medical Director, oversee scheduling of EMT students, and provide ongoing training while adhering to Johnson Memorial Health policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an EMT certification program and a Paramedic training program with current Indiana Paramedic certification.
• Maintain current CPR and ACLS certifications and complete required continuing education.
• Must be a certified CPR Instructor and maintain EMS Primary Instructor Certification; comfortable teaching content.

Responsibilities

• Support and conduct education programs for affiliate EMS providers and the community related to emergency medical services.
• Serve as a hospital representative to develop affiliations and maintain EMS relationships with public and private providers.
• Research call concerns and provide feedback for performance improvement opportunities.
• Conduct monthly audits with Medical Director as required by State EMS Commission; participate in Audit and Review committee.
• Keep ED Admin staff informed of changes affecting the hospital related to EMS regulations and laws.
• Schedule EMT students as liaison between schools and JMH ED; update protocols as needed.
