Job summary

Hugh Chatham Health in Wisconsin seeks an EMS educator to lead the EMT program in Burlington. This full-time role involves creating and teaching educational content, coordinating EMS education with hospital leadership, and participating in QA/QI activities.

You will collaborate with ED and community partners to standardize operations, plan courses, and ensure compliance with state and national standards. Travel and evenings are required, with a 32-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice
• EMT Intermediate or Paramedic license (state issued)
• NREMT-Intermediate certification
• EMS Instructor I certification to be obtained within 18 months
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)
• ACLS certification to be obtained within 0 months unless exempted by leadership
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Foster strong partnerships with ED and hospital leadership to improve EMS program outcomes and strategic goals.
• Serve as liaison between EMS providers, the community, officials, colleges, and hospitals to improve cooperation and education delivery.
• Ensure EMS program goals and objectives are fully met.
• Coordinate standardization of operations, education, budgeting, and policies with the EMS Medical Director.
• Plan and implement EMS education programs compliant with state and national standards.
• Maintain service standards and ongoing relationships with regional EMS providers and health partners.
• Provide field presence for on-scene direction, quality assessment, and training oversight.
