Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer to support Reliability applications and data integrity for EMS, state estimator functionality in PJM, SPP and ERCOT regions, and other grid-operations tools.

You will participate in 24x7 on-call support, assist in troubleshooting EMS power flow results, and help maintain modeling integrity aligned with AEP's capital and O&M plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Passing FE exam is encouraged and preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist higher-level engineers on defined portions of more complex problems.
Support reliability applications, data integrity, and EMS modeling.
Participate in 24x7 on-call support for System Control Center.
Troubleshoot EMS power flow iterations and ensure modeling integrity.
Contribute to compliance with capital and O&M plans.
