Job summary

AEP is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to support Reliability applications, data integrity, and EMS-related tools. You will assist in monitoring data quality, troubleshooting power flow results, and ensuring model integrity for the electric grid.

Ideal candidates hold a ABET-accredited bachelor's in electrical engineering and may pursue FE/PE licensure. The role involves on-call duties for real-time system reliability support.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position for new graduates with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• Seed requirements: passing FE exam encouraged and preferred for future PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for Reliability applications, processes, and data integrity.
• Assist higher-level engineers on defined portions of complex problems and analyses.
• Monitor and address data/model quality issues to support real-time system reliability.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation to provide non-stop support to the System Control Center.
