Job summary

Global Medical Response in Las Vegas, NV is hiring a Dispatcher to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services. You will assign and route transportation requests and communicate clearly to ensure quality care for our customers.

Responsibilities include applying EMS dispatch standards, allocating resources, maintaining accurate paperwork and data entry, and generating reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year EMS/public safety dispatcher experience or minimal medical training.
• Fluent reading and writing English.
• Clear radio and telephone communication.
• Accurate data entry, recording and reporting.
• Able to use basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for ambulance and transportation services.
• Allocate EMS resources using approved protocols.
• Keep complete and accurate shift paperwork.
• Enter data for the shift and State Run Report data as assigned.
• Generate reports and verify accuracy.
• Locate scenes and determine best routes with locator aids.
• Relay instructions from supervisors and emergency information.
• Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Follow established formats when receiving service requests.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment.
