Emergency Telecommunicator Services seeks an Emergency Medical Dispatcher in Valley Grove, WV to support urgent medical calls and coordinate resources. You will gather patient data, verify locations, and establish response priorities following approved protocols.

The role may require CPR certification, sponsored training, and shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays; prior EMS dispatch experience is beneficial but not always required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or recognized equivalent is commonly required.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities
