Job summary

Lynx EMS in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an EMS Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the Communications Center operations, lead dispatch staff, and ensure efficient coordination of emergency and non-emergency transport.

You’ll ensure regulatory compliance, monitor performance, mentor teams, and collaborate with hospitals and field crews; full-time benefits include health plans, PTO, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of EMS dispatch, public safety dispatch, or emergency communications experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of EMS operations, medical transportation, and emergency communications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call assignments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead dispatch personnel during assigned shifts.
• Monitor call volume, unit status, and deployment to maximize operational efficiency and response times.
• Ensure appropriate allocation of EMS resources based on call priority and service commitments.
• Provide real-time operational support during high-volume or critical incidents.
• Assist dispatchers with complex calls, escalated concerns, and operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state EMS regulations and accreditation standards.
• Conduct QA reviews of dispatch calls, radio communications, and documentation.
• Coordinate communication between field crews, hospitals, and customers.
