Job summary

Qualifications

• EMT certification is required.
• Experience in EMS dispatch or communications preferred; training provided.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to coordinate across teams under time pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of market area geography.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with dispatchers to ensure trips across markets are assigned to the correct team.
• Monitor trip assignments to identify missed or duplicate trips and correct them.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Field Operations on dispatch escalations.
• Answer calls and enter, verify, and prioritize transport and inter-facility transport requests.
• Dispatch ambulances and crews using internal systems; track unit status in real time.
• Communicate with field crews, facilities, and leadership regarding assignments and delays.
• Document dispatch activity accurately for operational and compliance records.
• Flag recurring boundary or hand-off issues to leadership.
