Job summary

REMSA Health’s Regional Emergency Communications Center (RECC) in Reno, NV, is seeking a Regular Full-Time Administration leader to manage the EMS communication center, staff, and equipment. The role supports regional dispatch for two counties and ensures high-performance EMS operations at all hours.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in EMS dispatch management, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, with on-call availability and knowledge of CAD/ProQA/AQUA systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years' management experience in a 911 dispatch/communication center.
• Experience with medical EMS or multi-agency communications preferred.
• Proven track record of leading and developing team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communications.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, holidays; on-call pager.
• Must have Nevada or California driver’s license within a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Manage the EMS communication center, personnel, and equipment.
• Oversee regional dispatching and tracking for two counties.
• Develop department guidelines and procedures.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities with department supervisors.
• Mentor and develop staff; foster a positive team environment.
• Ensure franchise obligations are met from communications and dispatch.
• Produce statistical reports to support operations.
• Respond to 24/7 critical operations.
• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned.
