Job summary

Priority OnDemand, LLC is seeking a Call Taker for Lifecare Medical Transports in Virginia Beach, VA. You will answer calls, determine emergency type, and provide pre-arrival instructions per Emergency Medical Dispatch protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have superior spatial orientation to read and interpret maps.
• Must have good computer skills and type at least 30 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Ensures CAD computer console, phone, radio systems and equipment are ready at shift start.
• Maintains clean work area; performs housekeeping to keep area sanitary.
• Maintains communication with units, facilities and agencies via radio, data link, pager or cell.
• Accurately determines nature of each call and provides pre-arrival instructions.
• Inputs intake information into CAD system and ensures proper data entry.
• Prioritizes patient care and safety of crews, patients, bystanders and staff.
