Job summary

Lifecare Medical Transports seeks vigilant Call Takers to answer emergency lines, determine calls via EMS dispatch, and provide pre-arrival instructions. You will input data into CAD, coordinate with field units, and uphold high standards of patient care and privacy.

Position requires strong typing, map-reading skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple shifts. Certifications and licensing may be obtained through LifeCare as needed.

Qualifications

• Call center experience preferred.
• CPR ICS Hazmat and related certifications may be obtained through LifeCare.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and security of information.

Responsibilities

• Ensure CAD, phone, radio, and equipment are ready at shift start.
• Keep work area clean and organized; perform routine housekeeping.
• Maintain communications with units, facilities, and agencies via radio, data link, pager or cell.
• Be knowledgeable of local geography, hospitals, venues, streets, and highways.
• Answer calls promptly and follow EMS dispatch procedures.
• Obtain complete intake information and input into CAD.
• Uphold patient care quality and safety for crews, patients, and public safety personnel.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and certifications; recertify as required.
