Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Communication Specialist (Dispatcher) for EMS to manage triage and dispatch EMS resources, ensuring rapid, accurate responses for emergencies. You will support the Communications Center operations and coordinate EMS staff deployment and vehicle assignments across the service area.

The role requires a NYS EMT with Defibrillation, High School Diploma or GED, and BCLS, with a night shift from 10:00 to 20:00.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• NY State EMT with Defibrillation certification is required.
• BCLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive triage and dispatch requests for EMS and ensure timely response by EMS personnel.
• Oversee operations of the Communications Center and coordinate EMS staff deployment and vehicle assignments.
