The role you’ll contribute:
The EMS Clinical manager is responsible for planning, staffing, organizing and coordinating the operations of the EMS department. The Clinical manager is responsible for developing and implementing the policies, procedures, and standards of the unit. Additionally, this person ensures the highest quality and standards of care for the patients in the EMS Department and aligns with the Department Director to meet and aim to exceed organizational goals. Although this position will have 24/7 accountability for the EMS Department, the primary responsibility will be for the shift operations of which the manager is assigned.

Oversees daily operations and staff performance to ensure care for patient/family is provided according to AH hospital standards and activities ensuring the best patient/family experience.
Collaborates with EMS Director to assess, plan, and evaluate patient experience trends. Communicates with courtesy when interacting with internal and external customers.
Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree or Current enrollment in Emergency Management Services, Business Management, Public/Business Administration, or closely related field required upon hire.
Three (3) years of managerial experience in an Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services System, EMS operations supervisor, or emergency medicine as a Paramedic supervisor/instructor; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job upon hire.
10 years EMS provider level service upon hire
Graduate of an accredited Paramedic Program
Active Florida Paramedic license upon hire.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or RQI upon hire.
Current American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification or RQI upon hire.
Current American Heart Association PALS certification or RQI upon hire.
Current NIHSS Certification upon hire.
AVADE Education within 90 days of hire date.
8 hours Stroke Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.
8 hours Hip & Knee Replacement / Spine Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually.
